ER aluminum rod and wire are designed to produce high quality welds in Types 5052,
5154, 5356, 6061,
6063, 5083, and 5086 aluminum plate. Welds made with the ER 5356 have a much greater
resistance to hot-short cracking, particularly
in low-magnesium alloys or between dissimilar metals. The ER
5356 produces a fluid weld puddle for
easy handling and superior weld quality. 3.
