5560 High carbon, high chromium,
metal-cored hardfacing alloy produces wear resistant chromium carbides in a tough
alloy matrix designed for high abrasion
or abrasion combined with moderate impact. Use gas shielded (Argon/CO
2 75/25
or Argon/Oxygen 98/2). Typical applications: screw conveyors, bulldozer blades,
dragline buckets, power shovel buckets
and teeth, ore and coal chutes, road rippers, scraper blades. Deposits are slag-free.
Use deposit thickness of 2 to 3 layers.
Deposits cannot be flame cut and will check-crack to relieve stresses. Deposit
hardness is 55-60RC.
Available in .045" (1.1mm) and 1/16" (1.6mm) x 25-lb. (11.34 kg) spools.
Overlay 5659 General
purpose hardfacing metal-cored gas shielded overlay with excellent abrasion and
impact resistance. Can be applied to carbon,
alloy and manganese steels as well as cast iron. Typical applications: Use on
plowing tools, bucket teeth, augers, screw
conveyors, dozer blades, and coal chutes. Use with CO 2
, but best results are
obtained with Argon/CO 2
mixtures.
Deposit hardness 55-59 RC. Available in .045" (1.1mm) and 1/16" (1.6mm)
x 25-lb. (11.34 kg) spools. Overlay
5759HW Excellent toughness metal-cored
hard overlay with good abrasion resistance and heat resistance up to 1100°F
(599°C) and still maintains a good
cutting edge. Typical applications: Hot working shear blades, forging dies,
damaged or hot working punches, headers, trimmers, shear
knives in hot work operations, mandrels, piercers, ejecting
rods, augers, dozer blades, and earth working tools. Use with CO
2 ,
but best results are obtained with Argon/CO
mixtures.
Deposit hardness 57-59 RC. Available in .045" (1.1mm) and 1/16" (1.6mm) x 25-lb.
(11.34 kg) spools. Overlay
6065 Flux cored hardfacing wire
for extreme wear situations. Can be used on carbon, manganese, low alloy and
stainless steels. Use with CO 2
75/25 gas mixtures or
without gas. Heat resistant to 1000°F (538°C). Use on ash
fan blades, conveyor screws, farm implements, augers,
scraper blades, mixer paddles, dozer blades, and other equipment
subjected to mineral abrasion. 60 Rc hardness first pass. 65 Rc hardness second
pass. Available in .045" (1.1mm) on 10-lb.
(4.54 kg) and 25-lb. (11.34 kg) spools.
